The Caribbean Regional Anti-Doping Organization is based in Barbados and acts as the secretariat for anti-doping issues for Antigua & Barbuda, Aruba, Barbados, Bonaire, British Virgin Islands, Cayman Islands, Curacao, Dominica, St. Lucia, St. Kitts & Nevis, St. Vincent & the Grenadines, Grenada, Guyana, Montserrat, Suriname, The Virgin Islands, Trinidad & Tobago and Turks & Caicos Islands.
Our main aim is to elicit excellence from athletes by ensuring that all sport is free from doping and is played fairly. As much as athletes are the most critical stakeholders, we collaborate with their support personnel, coaches, sports administrators, national and international federations, parents, doctors and other health professionals, and particularly the youth.
Patrick Werleman was born on January 22, 1963 in Aruba and spent his childhood in The Netherlands. He is the father of three children, Ashneal (27), Shelley (22) and Tom-René (17) and like their father they are all sport and music enthusiasts.
Together with his spouse Juliska he enjoys daily early morning walks as well as chillin’ on the beach at Sunset. Spending time with his kids, gardening and the Sunday family barbeques are some of his favourite ways of relaxing and de-stressing.
The anti-doping e-learning platform (ADeL) offers access to all topics related to clean sport and anti-doping. It offers courses for athletes, coaches, doctors, administrators and anyone interested in learning more about anti-doping and protecting the values of clean sport.
