The University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, USA has partnered with the Caribbean Regional Anti-Doping Organization to conduct an important research study.
What: We are recruiting young elite athletes to be interviewed about the types of conversations they hear and have on maximizing sporting success. In the interview, we will ask you about how you and others talk about sport training, sport nutrition and supplements, and performance enhancing substances. The study will be confidential and no personal information will be shared. Your decision to participate will not be shared with anyone.
If you complete the study, you will receive USD $25 cash or an Amazon Gift card.
Who: To be in the study, you need to be a Barbadian athlete, between 15 – 19 years-old, and be a Junior Elite or Junior Competitor (or equivalent for your sport). For participants under 18 years of age, we will need a parent or legal guardian to provide their approval for you to be in the study.
When: The interviews will be conducted over Zoom at a time that fits with your schedule. The interview will last about 40-60 minutes.
To see if you qualify for this study, please complete this short survey (less than 5 minutes). If you qualify, we will contact you and arrange a time for your interview.
